The Queen of Sports

The third composition of the soundtrack to Sofia – The History of Europe is also the work of Simeon Germanov.
Following his eclectic tastes, the piece is conceived as homage to Rush, The Who, Frank Zappa and Baroque greats such as Vivaldi who all played a formative role in his musical education.

The Queen of Sports is the moniker given to athletics, though Moni prefers King Football. It is the stage favourite of his and his band. He recorded it with Georgi Varamezov, a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist who happens to admire Uruguaian football.
